Ray Davies Memorial Show

No charge to enter an exhibit or to visit the show. Free tea/coffee, small charge for cakes. Light-hearted free gardening quiz with a prize for the winner(s).
Schedule of Classes
1 Vase of cut Tulips or Daffodils
2 Vase of cut garden flowers, mixed or same variety
3 Vase of mixed foliage, berries, grasses, any combination
4 One small garden plant or Alpine in a pot*
5 One pot of Tulips
6 One pot of bulbs, other than Tulips
7 One house plant in a pot
8 One pot of Hosta (single plant)
9 One sprig of Blossom or flowering shrub
10 Six Hellebore heads, same or mixed varieties
*Note for Class 4 This can be a plant lifted from the garden and potted for the show, for instance, any of the Primula, Saxifrage family etc.
The Mike Wacker Trophy will be awarded to the winner of Class 2.
There are no entry fees or forms for this show. Exhibitors need to write their names on the cards provided and place them face down under their exhibits.
Rules of the Show
Anyone may exhibit.
All exhibits must be bona-fide property of the exhibitor and have been in their possesion not less than three months prior to the show.
Entries are made on the night between 7.15 and 7.45pm and placed behine the appropriate class number on the exhibition table.
Exhibits will be judged by the members and visitors to the show who will write the entry number of the exhibit they judge to be the best in each class on one of the voting cards provided. This card is then to be placed on the box provided in each class.
The winner in each class will be the entry with the most votes.
The first in each class will receive a place card.
